How to Do an At-Home Facial (Video)
Want to know the secret to #FaceFlawlessSkin? Truthfully, there isn’t ONE secret...but regular at-home facials are definitely a major key.
In addition to a proper daily skin care routine, regular at-home facials help to deliver targeted treatment and boost results. Think you can’t master the at-home facial? Think again! In this post we've shared TWO options to get at-home facials. One if you have more time and want to indulge another shorter version. We’ve asked Licensed Esthetician, Rachelle Richardson of Lespri Spa Services to share the basics of creating a facial experience at home. Read on as Rachelle shares everything you need to know to get started.

Take it away, Rachelle...
It's important to properly care for your skin in between visits to your esthetician. You don't want to undo all the progress you've made seeing a professional. I liken it to working out with your trainer 3 times a week but only eating fast food and not exercising on your off days. No matter how often you see your esthetician you will not maintain great skin without proper home care.
I suggest this simple four step process 1-2 times a week to have healthy skin. I like to do this right before bed when your skin needs the extra TLC. The whole process should take no longer than 15 minutes.
1) Fill a basin with very warm water just enough to create some steam. While the basin is being filled apply your favorite enzyme peel to clean, damp skin. My brand of choice is Naturopathica Holistic Health. I love their Pumpkin Purifying Enzyme Peel. Once the basin is filled stop the water and place your face over the basin. Allow your skin to warm up with the steam. The steam will activate the peel and open up your pores. Massage with your fingertips for about 3 minutes. Rinse and towel dry.
2) Apply your favorite toner to rebalance the skin. I like to use Naturopathica's Lavender Balancing Mist.
3) Apply a treatment mask. You want to use a treatment mask with healing ingredients. I use a treatment mask with a high percentage of Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera is soothing and moisturizing. Leave the mask on according to the product instructions and rinse off.
4) Finish with your favorite moisturizer.
Thank you, Rachelle!
